Ensuring your dog is in qualified, accredited, insured and experienced hands.

I am a fully qualified and accredited dog trainer based in Cork City, specialising in puppy development, co‑operative care, and family‑focused dog training. I have worked in dog welfare and behaviour since 2012, including long‑term collaboration with Munster Lost and Found, giving me deep insight into the behavioural challenges that can lead to stress, breakdowns in the human–dog relationship, and even surrender.

I trained under Anne Rogers of AniEd, completing Ireland’s first accredited dog training programme in 2012–2014. I continue to expand my expertise through ongoing CPD, webinars, and professional development. I am also a member of the Irish Veterinary Behaviour Association (IVBA), attending their annual conference and staying up to date with the latest research in veterinary behaviour and welfare.

I am currently working with the Irish Guide Dogs in Cork delivering a

Co-operative Care and Handling program for their adolescent dogs.

My Professional Focus

  • Puppy Training & Early Intervention: Helping new owners build strong foundations, prevent behavioural issues, and support dogs through key developmental stages including adolescence and early adulthood.

  • Co‑operative Care & Low‑Stress Handling: Teaching dogs to participate willingly in grooming, vet care, and husbandry procedures. I currently deliver an 8‑week co‑operative care programme for Irish Guide Dogs to reduce stress and improve handling outcomes.

  • Behaviour–Health Integration: Many behaviour issues stem from undetected pain or medical conditions. I regularly refer clients to their vets and work collaboratively to ensure dogs receive appropriate assessment and support.

  • Child–Dog Safety: As a parent myself, I specialise in helping families create safe, positive interactions between children and dogs.

A Collaborative Approach to Canine Welfare

I believe that trainers, groomers, vets, and welfare professionals each hold vital pieces of a dog’s wellbeing puzzle. Groomers and trainers often spend more time with dogs than anyone else and are uniquely positioned to spot early signs of pain, stress, or behavioural change.

My consultations (75–120 minutes) gather detailed behavioural and environmental information that can support veterinary diagnosis, guide grooming plans, and help owners understand their dog more clearly. I welcome collaboration with local groomers and veterinary teams to create a joined‑up welfare system where dogs receive earlier intervention, better support, and more positive experiences.
